Cookies Still Available
Do you know some customers in need of a freezer full of Thin Mints before Girl Scout Cookie season is over? No problem! Girl Scout Cookies will be available for purchase throughout the month of April, and donations for Gift of Caring will be accepted through Memorial Day! Customers can find cookies by downloading the Girl Scout Cookie app or visiting girlscoutcookies.org. If your troop is still stocking up as well, we've extended Cookie Cupboard hours through April 20!

Girls Grow at Day Camp

Encourage a girl you know to spend her summer with us at day camp! Day
camp opportunities occur Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., at locations
in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Girls who are in 4th grade and above
will have the option to stay overnight at a camp.
While at day camp girls will discover their independence, make new friends, and practice skills that will last a lifetime. She could start a photography portfolio, investigate forms of energy, perfect her skills as a camp gourmet, and much more! Each of our program options features a fresh, fun theme, sure to pique any girl's interests!
New
this summer we're offering even more specialized programs, day camps at
Juniper Knoll and Butternut Springs, and new bus stops added to our
schedule.

Early Registration Opens April 15
Early
registration for the 2013-14 membership year is coming to your service
unit this month and will last April 15 - June 28, 2013.
Check out what's new!
- eSubmit offers adults and volunteers paying with credit, debit or PayPal accounts the
opportunity to submit registration electronically. This process is convenient, safe and easy! - Quick Start Guides are available for parents to ensure they have all the information needed to register using eSubmit.
- New incentives
are available for troops participating in early registration and all
members participating in Family Partnership. Individual girl patches
will continue for all Girl Scouts who register by June 28.
- The eSubmit webpage
is the place for all your registration needs: links to eSubmit forms;
fillable PDFs for those paying by cash or check; copies of all
registration forms; and a FAQ section to help with this new process. The
webpage will launch April 15.
- GSUSA Membership Fees
have increased to $15 for annual members and $375 for lifetime members.
If you want to become a lifetime member for $300, please use the
eSubmit process or hand-in your form and paperwork by Sept. 1.

2013 Survivor Brazil
Enjoy a weekend (June 7-9)
of outdoor training and enrichment when you sign up as a team or as an
individual to participate in this year's Survivor Brazil. Can your team
solve the clues and obtain the skills to survive the Amazon? Don't miss
Saturday night's tribal council and carnival!
Participants who join us at Camp River Trails will
receive a T-shirt, program and training supplies, lodging and a Friday
evening snack. Meals will be included for Saturday and Sunday. |
Spring Forward
Are you a leader going to the next level with girls in your troop? Our
Spring Forward event, April 26-27,
provides participants with great ideas for bridging activities, as well
as grade-level training about requirements for bridging. Training will
take place on Saturday with an optional overnight on Friday.
While at Camp Palos, leaders will also
participate in outdoor cooking, a scavenger hunt, a service project, and

The
Chicago Lighthouse, an organization assisting the blind and visually
disabled, is teaming up with Global Explorers to offer a truly unique
leadership travel program featuring rafting on the San Juan River,
camping at Canyon de Chelly National Monument, and visiting the Navajo
Nation.
The program is specifically designed to combine sighted
participants with travelers who are blind or visually impaired (ages
15-19). Girls Scouts are invited to join this adventure!

tourists and locals manage the hustle and bustle of traffic, commuting
and sight-seeing? Join us for this day-long travel experience as you
visit a Chicago hostel, learn to navigate the CTA and visit attractions

Join us for the 4th Annual Girl Scout Night with the Chicago Cubs on July 30, 2013! The Cubs are offering

donated back to the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest
Indiana. All participants will receive a commemorative patch, and the
